The 2024 Season: Staff Favorites

As the 2025 wedding season is winding up, everyone at team Stoneblossom is reminiscing on the past season, which was filled with many memorable moments and a plethora of one-of-a-kind celebrations. We wanted to take this opportunity to highlight our staff member’s favorite weddings from the 2024 season, sharing with you what caught our designer’s attention. Each event had its own unique design plan and vision, personalized to each couple, and truly told their story through the natural artform of florals. While it was hard for our team members to each pick just one favorite wedding, the 11 highlighted events are just a sample of the gorgeous weddings we produced week after week all over New England.

Dennis -  R+J | Private Residence

Manchester by the Sea, MA

While I had the honor of working on many traveling jobs over the summer, my favorite wedding took place at a Private Residence in Manchester by the Sea. The stunning bayside estate played the perfect host to the al-fresco wedding reception, which took place in a glass-top tent in the gorgeous gardens at the bride’s family home. I loved how the existing natural landscape blended seamlessly with the floral arrangements to create a cohesive, organic feel within the event space. The overall feel was ultra-romantic and the property added to the ambiance, seeming to transport guests overseas to a charming European Villa. I especially loved foraging fresh florals from the garden at our studio, which I feel truly elevates each design. Working on this wedding was a dream, and seeing the overall vision come together was absolutely amazing.

Jenise - C+A | The Chanler

Newport, RI

The wedding that stuck out most to me took place at the Chanler Hotel in Newport, RI. This Indian fusion wedding was a celebration of carnations and marigolds, which represent love and good fortune for the newlyweds. The Mandap was one of my favorite aspects of the wedding, making a statement on a raised stage, and dripping in luscious blooms of coral, peach, yellow, and blue. The other star of the event was the trellis over the head table, designed with hand-strung garlands of peachy carnations and marigolds, which added a romantic, yet whimsical feel to the event space. I love designing larger-than-life installations on-site, and this wedding allowed me to work my creativity in such a fun way!

Racquel - K+M | Rosecliff Mansion

Newport, RI

Taking place at Rosecliff, my favorite wedding flooded the gilded-age Manor with glistening candlelight. The ceremony which took place on the lawn, made a lasting impact, with a stunning serpentine aisle that led the way to the altar, which was accentuated by an abundant backdrop of bountiful white blooms. Making a huge statement within the ballroom, the guest tables were artfully styled in pure-candlelight, apart from the head table and sweetheart table which were adorned with stunning full-floral runners that pooled gracefully on the ground. The overall feel was James Bond inspired, and celebrated sexy, sleek silhouettes and abundant candlelight throughout the venue. In addition to the perfectly styled ballroom, the bride’s dress was one of my favorite aspects of the wedding!

Ali - C+C | Ekwanok Country Club

Manchester, Vermont

I had so much fun traveling to Vermont for my favorite wedding of the season, which took place at the Ekwanok Country Club. In addition to the stunning landscape and views surrounding the venue, my favorite component of the design plan was the double tent entry, overflowing with perfect peonies, and bright & beautiful garden roses. The vibrant colors truly popped amongst the lush green backdrop of the Vermont golf club, and was the perfect way to welcome guests to the reception tent!

Laura - K+S | The Chanler

Newport, RI

I instantly knew which wedding I wanted to choose as my favorite of the season! One of our first weddings this year took place at The Chanler and was a celebration of bold blooms in all colors of the rainbow. The vision for this event was to create a table runner, designed with a color-blocked ombre effect so that each section of colored flowers softly transitioned into the next. In addition to the beautiful bright blooms, I especially loved the opportunity to work with unique flower types we don’t use all the time, such as Pink Bleeding Hearts, Kangaroo Paw, and Poppies. The addition of color-coordinated taper candles along the floral runner truly tied the tablescape together and added a beautiful glow to the space. I also loved the cake display, which featured five unique cakes, each representing a color within the design plan. I thought this was a super fun way to translate the color story into the food and beverage of the celebration!

Jarrod - C+B | Castle Hill

Newport, RI

The citrus-filled wedding of C+B at Castle Hill was the star of the season for me. Our team designed a lush, organic trellis styled with draping garlands of fresh lemons suspended over the head table. This trellis brought together the overall vision, in tandem with the bespoke lemon trees, and petite compotes of lemons on the tables amongst the floral designs. The vibrant colors of the flowers in shades of coral, orange, and peach paired perfectly with the bright yellow lemons, creating the most wonderful early fall color palette, truly bringing the space to life.

Charlie - A+L | Bar Harbor Club

Bar Harbor, Maine

Traveling to Bar Harbor for the wedding of A+L was one of the highlights of my season! The venue where the couple got married was right on the water, and the views were immaculate. I appreciated how the color palette of the flowers blended seamlessly with the waterscape behind the tent, adding to the overall ambiance of the event. The floral clouds that our team designed for this wedding were super fun, and full of draping white florals and organic greenery. I especially enjoyed the opportunity to travel, and to work with the team to bring the whole vision together!

Jess - J&R | Belle Mer

Newport, RI

My favorite wedding of the season took place at Belle Mer, and was a celebration of deep reds, and bold pinks. I loved the impact that the design plan made in the space at Belle Mer, the contrast of the rich color scheme against the bright white ballroom truly transformed the space! In addition to the bold colors and ikebana style arrangements, we used some of my favorite floral varieties including hanging amaranthus, nerine lilies, and dahlias. These unique, locally sourced blooms added fun texture to the arrangements and made the designs shine. I had the privilege of working on the grand staircase, which was a floral forward focal point within the reception space, and was so fun to create! My overall favorite part of the day would have to be the couple’s adorable pup Zucchini, who looked adorable in her custom-made floral collar and leash as she walked down the aisle! The whole day was a celebration of romance and truly encapsulated the couple’s vision, and I was so happy to be a part of it!

Sophie - M+D | Fairmont Copley Hotel

Boston, MA

The opulent wedding of M+D, at the Fairmont Copley Hotel in Boston was one of my favorite weddings of the season. The ballroom was elegantly styled with stunning cut-crystal candelabras, and layers upon layers of soft white blooms, creating a picture-perfect white wedding for the couple. I loved how the entire air of the event was infused with romance, creating a truly unforgettable atmosphere. The gilded ballroom felt like a Gatsby party, and was the perfect venue for an elegant yet lively celebration.

Bob - M+A | Private Residence

Portsmouth, RI

For my favorite wedding, I chose the colorful celebration of M+A which took place at a private residence in Portsmouth, RI. The ceremony site was a beautiful ground crest composed of textural grasses and linear flowers that flowed effortlessly in the wind. Hanging from the tree above the ceremony, we designed pockets of flowers and greenery to create an immersive design for the couple, surrounded by florals from all angles. For this wedding, we created a colorful, floral cow for the afterparty, which was my favorite part of the event. Paying close attention to detail, I designed the meadow for the cow, and even gave her a cowbell of her own! It was so fun to help create such a unique conversation piece for the party
