Welcome to our blog! Here we celebrate the beauty of blooms and their role in creating unforgettable celebrations.
Spring-Inspired Soirees
Spring is full of new growth and fresh beginnings. The season brings an offering of florals with incredible range of movement, texture, and color, allowing floral designs to feel deeply connected to the landscape and time of year. From delicate branching blooms to sculptural spring varieties, the use of spring blooms offers an opportunity to create celebrations that feel layered, intentional, and distinctly personal. Below, we are highlighting several weddings that each approached the season differently, while embracing the natural beauty and character of spring flowers
Artfully Styled Wedding Florals at the Chanler
The mid-June wedding of A+C at The Chanler in Newport, Rhode Island brought together the clarity of a classic white wedding with subtle modern detailing, resulting in a design that felt both enduring and quietly contemporary.
The Look: A Modern Mansion Wedding
The overall feel for the wedding weekend of D+G was understated, timeless elegance that felt uniquely organic and naturally lived in. For their wedding, the couple chose to play into tones of the autumn season, incorporating moody accent tones in shades of wine, espresso, and smoke in addition to the lighter, ethereal hues of cream, chartreuse, and peach. We utilized frilly florals full of texture within this color palette, as well as florals with distinct silhouettes such as nerine lilies, hanging amaranthus, calla lilies, and anthurium.
A Study In Romantic Garden Design
Last spring, Stoneblossom collaborated with an extraordinary team of vendors to create an editorial for Style Me Pretty in charming Newport, Rhode Island. We blended together whimsical garden style arrangements with classic coastal charm creating a story that felt rooted not only in romance, but in the history of the island city itself. Putting a modern twist on traditional style, we paired bold patterns with heirloom accents creating an eclectic, layered design plan that highlighted romantic spring blooms.
How Personal Style Influences Wedding Design
Personal style is often discussed in terms of fashion, but its influence reaches far beyond what is worn. It shapes how a space feels, how moments unfold, and how a celebration is experienced. At Stoneblossom, we view personal style as the quiet foundation of wedding design—the guiding thread that informs every decision, from florals and materials to scale, movement, and atmosphere.
The Language of Thoughtful Florals
In floral design, the smallest details often hold the most meaning. Every decision, from the type of bloom selected to the way it is positioned within an arrangement, shapes the story being told. At Stoneblossom, we approach each wedding as a narrative waiting to be translated through flowers, understanding that florals are not merely decorative, but expressive. They set the tone, evoke emotion, and establish an atmosphere before a single word is spoken. Thoughtfully designed florals create an invisible thread that connects moments and spaces throughout a celebration, allowing the day to unfold with intention and depth.
Floral Design for the Modern Trendsetter
The dictionary definition of a trendsetter is as follows:
Trend-set-ter
(noun)
A person who leads the way in fashion or ideas.
“They are trendsetters who shape the design of the future.”
At Stoneblossom, we work closely with trendsetters, working to effortlessly bring their vision to life. We know that designing for those who lead with taste requires a different kind of attentiveness. Trendsetters are often instinctively drawn to details that feel right, even if it is hard to articulate. In this situation, our role becomes one of translation—listening closely, refining ideas, and shaping something that feels both intuitive and unexpected, collaborating to create something new. The goal is not to follow, but to create something that feels distinctly personal and quietly ahead of its time.

Where Fashion Meets Florals: Designing for the Dress
In the modern wedding industry, fashion isn’t just a part of the day—it’s the design blueprint. From bouquets crafted to complement couture, to cakes echoing the textures and silhouettes of designer gowns, florals are taking their cue from the closet. We’re seeing petite bouquets designed to accentuate, not hide, designer dresses, as well as high-fashion boutonniere compositions that echo the sharp tailoring of custom suits. This post explores how fashion is shaping the floral narrative for luxury weddings, and how we use editorial styling and thoughtful restraint to let both the blooms and the wardrobe shine.

There’s something undeniably special about a wedding that takes place at a private estate. Often filled with personal history, these intimate settings offer couples the opportunity to celebrate in a place that feels deeply meaningful. Turning a familiar space into a visually stunning environment worthy of a milestone celebration takes more than simply adding flowers—it requires thoughtful transformation, grounded in both design expertise and respect for the setting.

When it comes to creating a comprehensive event experience for your guests, there is plenty of room for creativity and personalization! At Stoneblossom, we love to adorn every surface with handmade floral arrangements, filling the event space with fragrant blooms that will completely immerse your guests in your floral story. The cocktail hour following your ceremony is the place to set the tone for the celebration of the evening, as your guests mingle with drinks in hand. Bridal Bouquets: Beauty with Meaning
The bridal bouquet has been an important part of wedding ceremonies for centuries. Whether a bride carries a dainty posie, or a lush cascading bouquet, the rich history and symbolism of the bridal bouquet has evolved over time, and become a cherished tradition for brides on their wedding day. Throughout history, the bridal bouquet was used with intention to provide protection against ill will, as well as to symbolize good fortune and a fruitful marriage for the couple. In modern times, the bridal bouquet has become a significant aspect of the overall wedding design, and allows the bride to express her unique personality through the art of floral design.

With our trucks packed full of beautiful blooms and textured foliage, we were ready to create a stunning display that would bring the couple’s floral fantasy to life!
