Vivid Hues & Vibrant Moments
In mid-May, Stoneblossom had the pleasure of collaborating with Ashlie and the Infinite Events team at one of our favorite venues, The Chanler, to bring the vision of K+S’s colorful celebration to life. From conceptualization to execution, watching the design plan evolve into the final finished product was a dream. Our excitement began as soon as we laid eyes on Ashlie’s fabulously curated design plan. When we first met with K+S it was clear that bright & bold blooms fit the bill to match their warm and vibrant personalities.
K+S were personally involved in the design process from start to finish, which came through in the intentional & sentimental impact of the final design plan. For the bride, it was important to have a sentimental and favorite flower, pink Bleeding Heart incorporated into her bouquet, as well as in the design of the sweetheart table. Our designers were excited to help bring this vision to life, including locally grown and fresh cut flowers from our very own gardens in the bouquets and arrangements.
Beginning with the ceremony, we designed impactful floral compositions that framed the beginning and end of the aisle with bursts of color. After the bride floated down the aisle, the couple said “I do” in a stunning ground level semi-circle designed with vibrant layers of color-clustered florals. This beautiful focal point was created with a gorgeous palette of orange, pink, fuchsia, yellow, purple & blue.
For the reception, we envisioned a rainbow of florals with a captivating color-blocked ombre effect, running the length of 2 show-stopping 40’ tables. Each color family was thoughtfully chosen to include a range of shades, progressing from lightest to darkest, ensuring that each color story blended flawlessly into the next, creating a seamless flow of hues. Each section of colorful textured blossoms was accompanied by twinkling taper candles in the same hues to create a stunning romantic glow. Above, pops of pink and coral peonies & roses hung among the warm glow of glistening lights to create a more intimate atmosphere.
Our designers had an absolute ball in the studio and on-site, working with fun varietals & colors that were unique to this design plan. Textured celosia in three different hues, as well as perfect poppies, and eccentric kangaroo paw created visual interest in every color story, while adding movement and dimension to the tablescape. One of our designers loved the pink hues and blooms that adorned the sweetheart table, creating a “poignant focal point within the space”. We love being able to tell the love story of a couple through the art of flowers, and the wedding of K+S allowed us to creatively and colorfully express the couple’s vision through our artistry.
