10 Ideas for Wedding Florals
When it comes to curating the perfect floral story and design plan for your wedding, it is important to think of the guest experience at every turn. At Stoneblossom we believe that more can be more, and we leave no surface untouched. It is our goal to create beautiful floral moments and darling vignettes, thoughtfully styled all throughout the venue space. As creatives, we can think of a way to add florals to just about anything, and we do! If you are newly engaged and are looking for spaces to include florals on your special day, look no further, team Stoneblossom has got you covered!
Cake Flowers
Give your cake some extra love by adding touches of delicate, fragrant blooms in your chosen color palette to the cake. The blossoms can cascade down the tiers of the cake, create a gorgeous floral moment on top of the cake, or be styled in a whimsical, asymmetrical design. Some couples choose to make their cake table a focal point of their floral design plan, opting for a “meadow” of florals to encircle the cake in stunning organic style. Others chose to surround the base of the cake table, with lush, abundant arrangements overflowing with bountiful blooms.
Staircase Install
If your venue has a staircase, choose to make this a focal point for your guests by adding lush, cascading florals descending the staircase. The addition of trailing greenery adds a whimsical, yet romantic feel to the staircase amongst the flowers. To truly elevate this scene, we love to style pillar candles tucked gingerly into the layers of fragrant blossoms adorning the staircase.
Mantle/Fireplace Install
Much like the staircase install, an existing mantle or fireplace at your venue acts as the perfect backdrop for a flower story and candlelight galore. Enhancing this architectural accent can be as easy as adding lush, organic greenery and pillar candles to the mantle. On the other hand, you can really make a statement by styling the mantle and fireplace with abundant pockets of lush florals designed to draw the eye and leave your guests in awe.
Overhead Installation
When we curate a design plan for a space, not only do we look at floral colors and varieties, but we also consider how our arrangements and overall design plan fill the space. It is important to create height and visual interest within the reception space, so that everywhere you look is a delight to the senses. One way to achieve this is by incorporating a suspended overhead floral installation. When it comes to overhead installations, with Stoneblossom the sky's the limit! Our experienced team of designers are experts at designing suspended trellises, floating floral clouds, hanging floral hoops, and more!
Tent Poles
If your wedding is set to take place in a tent, a simple yet effective way to extend the organic, whimsical feel of your event is to add touches of light & airy greenery to your tent poles. If you wish to make more of a statement, or to cover the poles completely, we can even design life sized “trees” along the poles of your tent, to create a truly enchanting atmosphere.
Tent entry
The tent entry is the first thing your guests will see when they enter your reception space. Many of our clients choose to make this entryway a breath-taking, impactful floral moment. Tent entries can be designed with simple, sweet tendrils of greenery that appear to organically grow up and over the threshold of the tent, or can be designed flower-forward overflowing with hundreds of lush blooms in your chosen color palette.
Seating Chart/Escort Table
The seating chart, or escort table/wall is the first introduction of your guests to the design of the reception. There are many fun and unique ways to display your seating chart, or escort cards, but for us at Stoneblossom, a seating chart is never fully complete without a touch of greenery or a pop of florals. We love to design large, lush compote arrangements for escort card tables, or add beautiful climbing vines and pockets of florals to an escort wall. One of our favorite ways to incorporate flowers to the escort card table is through the creation of garden boxes, which appear to be an abundant meadow, where the cards are artfully placed throughout the floral design.
The Bar
Who said the bar is just for cocktails? We believe that every bar deserves flowers! Whether it is adding a bespoke compote arrangement to the corner of a bar, or creating a full, fresh floral bar front, adding flowers to your bar seamlessly translates the design concept and color palette from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception.
Lounge Groupings
Many of our clients incorporate lavish soft seating and lounge groupings in their event design, which is a trend we love! Make a statement with your lounge grouping by adding a trio of floral arrangements in your color palette, or a large statement piece on a banquette.
Floral Sculpture
Stoneblossom has been known to create the most fabulous, custom floral sculptures, crafted and designed specifically for our clients. If you are looking to make a lasting impact on your guests with a bespoke floral arrangement, a floral sculpture may be the way to go! We have custom-built floral lobsters, dogs, cows, and martini glasses just to name a few! If you have a unique vision for a larger-than life floral sculpture, we would love to talk about your vision!
