Late Spring Soiree at Shepherd's Run

Picture a late spring, secret garden wedding at one of Rhode Island’s beautiful estate vineyards, where May’s most spectacular blossoms married together with whimsical greenery  set the perfect stage for a vow of everlasting love. H+P chose to celebrate their marriage in such a space, at Shepherd’s Run, where guests were greeted with an intimate and romantic air from the ceremony throughout the reception. In collaboration with Kate Murtagh and the couple, we curated a color palette of creamy blooms, paired with peachy seasonal varietals, and soft yellow accents to achieve an airy, al fresco environment.

Stunning spring florals were the highlight of the design plan, including fresh, locally grown blooms such as peonies, sweet pea, ranunculus, and garden roses. From hand-tied bridesmaid bouquets of peonies, to the bridal bouquet with a plethora of layered spring blossoms and textures, the garden-style design plan was cohesive from start to finish. The ceremony was held in the intimate garden of the vineyard, where lush hydrangeas lined the aisle, leading up to the beautifully natural, deconstructed arbor.

Reaching, climbing vines were an integral part of the organic design plan, and created a poignant focal point in the reception tent, where light and airy tendrils of greenery draped across the ceiling. Underneath the romantic sea of greens, multiple table concepts created dimension and interest in the space. Round tables were styled with punchy, peachy arrangements in porcelain compotes, while the long tablescapes were composed of petite arrangements and hints of mono-botanical bud vase arrangements, adding moments of texture throughout the overall design.

This outstanding outdoor wedding was a celebration of spring, and the love that two people share. From the shaded, intimate ceremony site, to the incorporation of seasonal blooms, this whimsical garden wedding was the epitome of romance and togetherness. Team Stoneblossom revels in bringing floral fantasies to life, and we are quite happy with the outcome of another “happily ever after” flawlessly executed for our couples.
