Love in Bloom at Belle Mer
At the end of August, Team Stoneblossom had the pleasure of creating a vibrant, unforgettable event at Belle Mer to celebrate the wedding of J+R. The venue, known for its stunning coastal views, provided the perfect backdrop for a classic white ceremony, followed by a vibrant reception full of striking deep reds and bold pinks. Working closely with the couple, and Lisa at Infinite Events, our designers brought to life a one-of-a-kind vision that made a lasting impact on guests.
The design plan was thoughtfully curated to not only reflect the couple’s personalities, but to transform the space into something magical. The dramatic contrast created by the rich color scheme against the stark white ballroom was truly captivating. The deep reds and bold pinks danced together, breathing life into the room and setting the stage for a romantic celebration.
Ikebana style arrangements allowed us to showcase the beauty and artistry of each bloom, celebrating bold colors and interesting textures. These carefully selected flowers added depth and character to the arrangements, ensuring that each arrangement was a unique work of art. Intermixed into the tablescape designs were stunning black crystal candelabras that added beautiful contrast to the overall color palette, and flooded the tables with a warm glow.
The grand staircase was a focal point that drew guests’ attention as they entered the reception space. This floral installation was a true labor of love, allowing our designers to celebrate each bloom with dramatic layering, and showcase the vibrant hues and textures that defined the event. Another captivating floral moment was the mantle behind the sweetheart table, which exquisitely framed the couple with bold, romantic blooms, and whimsical vines of greenery. We intentionally styled the space so that there were floral stories at every turn, enveloping guests in a fully immersive environment, perfect for celebrating the couple.
While the flowers and decor were undeniably breathtaking, the couple’s adorable pup, Zucchini was star of the show. Dressed in a custom-made floral collar and leash, she trotted down the aisle, bringing an extra layer of joy and whimsy to the proceedings. Zucchini’s presence was a testament to the couple’s fun-loving spirit and their desire to include every member of their family in the celebration. The entire day was a celebration of love and romance, beautifully encapsulating the couple’s vision for their wedding. It was truly fulfilling to see everything come together, from the vibrant color scheme to the carefully artfully designed arrangements, every detail was infused with love and creativity. We revel in the opportunity to tell a couple’s story through the art form of flowers, and J+R’s wedding was no exception.
