Lavender Elegance at Glen Manor

On a dreamy August day, along the serene Sakonnet River at the lovely Glen Manor house, G+B exchanged their vows in a romantic garden ceremony located on the property of this French Chateaux-inspired estate. The charming, classic European architecture and perfectly maintained lush green gardens of the Manor created the perfect natural backdrop for this dreamy, opulent celebration. Team Stoneblossom had the privilege of working with Leigh Heiserman of Lauryn Prattes Events to create the ultimate design plan, that would evoke emotion and tell the couple’s love story through the art of flowers. A muted color palette of taupe, lavender, sage, and champagne paired with soft organic greenery intertwined perfectly with the venue’s natural charm.

The timeless and romantic ceremony felt as if it took place in an ethereal French Garden, framing the couple with soft florals as they became man and wife. The centerpiece of the wedding ceremony was the wrought iron Gazebo that acted as the arbor structure. This stunning focal point was adorned with delicate blooms and organic trailing greenery to create a lush, garden-inspired arbor for the couple to share their first kiss under. The aisle was lined with florals at each seat, adding to the opulent, garden-style design of the ceremony space.

As G+B returned down the aisle as a married couple, their loved ones showered them with soft, fragrant rose petals to symbolize their love. The newlyweds and their guests floated to cocktail hour, and were welcomed by the dreamiest seating chart, delicately designed into the intricate trellis of the lattice work on the terrace of the Manor. Luxurious lounge groupings and cocktail tables dotted the lawn and terrace, adorned with beautiful blooms in cut crystal vessels, surrounded by twinkling tea lights that added to the romantic atmosphere of cocktail hour.

As guests sat down for dinner, the tables were a reflection of the couple’s love for relaxed elegance, with floral focused garden-style arrangements designed in cut-crystal vessels. A mix of round tables and long tables set throughout different rooms of the Manor and the Veranda, created an intimate and immersive atmosphere, allowing guests to get lost in the romance of the evening. Each floral composition was unique to itself, to provide a true organic feel within the design plan, and was surrounded by a specialty collection of votive candlelight & sandstone taper candles.

The overall ambiance of the wedding of G+B left attendees feeling as if they were in a fairytale. The muted, elegant color palette paired with the grandeur of the historic venue truly created a cohesive and breathtaking environment for two families to celebrate, coming together as one. This lavish, lavender wedding is one that feels like a midsummer’s night dream, and for it’s guests, will be the source of nostalgia for many years to come.
