Welcome to our blog! Here we celebrate the beauty of blooms and their role in creating unforgettable celebrations.

A Picture Perfect Day in Newport
When you picture the “perfect” wedding, what do you see? Do you see an intimate ceremony in a historic stone chapel, followed by dinner and dancing in the grand ballroom of a Gilded Age estate? For S+R, that is exactly what they pictured! The couple exchanged their vows at the gorgeous Emmanuel church in Newport, then made their way to the famous Rosecliff mansion to dance the night away with their closest friends and family. The talented Erica Trombetti collaborated with the couple and team Stoneblossom to curate the overall event vision and design plan. To truly bring together the vision of their picture perfect wedding, S+R chose a delicate palette of white, cream, peach, blush, lavender and soft blue blooms.

Lavender Elegance at Glen Manor
On a dreamy August day, along the serene Sakonnet River at the lovely Glen Manor house, G+B exchanged their vows in a romantic garden ceremony located on the property of this French Chateaux-inspired estate. The charming, classic European architecture and perfectly maintained lush green gardens of the Manor created the perfect natural backdrop for this dreamy, opulent celebration. Team Stoneblossom had the privilege of working with Leigh Heiserman of Lauryn Prattes Events to create the ultimate design plan, that would evoke emotion and tell the couple’s love story through the art of flowers. A muted color palette of taupe, lavender, sage, and champagne paired with soft organic greenery intertwined perfectly with the venue’s natural charm

A Coastal Garden Wedding
In the beautiful month of June, J+J celebrated their wedding day in style at the famous Chanler Hotel situated at the beginning of the historic Cliff Walk in Newport, Rhode Island. Working closely with the couple, and Erica Trombetti of Infinite events, we created a design plan that leaned into the gorgeous local flora of the Ocean State, while celebrating the freshness of spring blooms. Using coastal blues, whites, and greens, the overall design of the wedding was textural, yet lush leaning into garden-style design moments.

An Artful Celebration of Love
Romance is an artform in itself, and many artists throughout the years have drawn inspiration from the theme of love. In Mid-July, team Stoneblossom created romantic, sculptural florals at the Gardiner House, using the wedding of S+W as our muse. The design plan was meticulously & artfully curated with the couple and Stasia Anthony of Exquisite Events. It was important to the couple to incorporate red roses, and a sculptural, gestural design approach, as it reflects the art the groom makes as a sculptor. The designs were composed of unique blooms in a color palette of reds, burgundy, and hot pink creating a bold and impactful impression on guests.

Fresh Details
At Stoneblossom we pride ourselves on our ability to conceptualize and style a tablescape using all forms of organic materials. Quite often, to accent & complement our floral arrangements, we will incorporate fresh fruit & produce into our designs. This is becoming an increasingly popular trend in wedding design at the moment, and it’s no wonder why! Using fresh fruit & vegetables in your tablescape can add fun color and movement to the design of the table, or can help to evoke a certain style.

‘Till Death Do We Part
Fall weddings are becoming increasingly more popular over the years, and October has won itself the title of most popular wedding month, with a whopping 20% of all weddings in 2022 occurring in October! Of those couples who chose to make October their month of marriage, some choose a classic fall palette, while others embrace the moodiness and dark romance of the Halloween season. When C+J tied the knot on an early October eve, they went for a deep, bold, romantic color palette that sent a shiver down their guest’s spines.

Evolving Designs at Rosecliff
In mid-July of 2024, E+M tied the knot in style at Newport’s historic Rosecliff Mansion. Team Stoneblossom worked closely with the couple, and Lisa at Infinite Events, to curate a design plan that married together a quintessential white wedding with a celebration of color at cocktail hour, transitioning back to a softer, muted palette once the guests entered the ballroom for dinner. At Stoneblossom, we love to incorporate different color palettes and design styles in separate event spaces during the wedding day. Our designers were more than delighted to bring this vision to life!

Moody Moments from Dawn-Dusk
On a dew-drop morning in May of 2023, Team Stoneblossom got an early start to honor the love of L+I, as they tied the knot at dawn, underneath the rising sun at the beautiful Chanler just off the Cliff Walk in Newport. The sun-rise ceremony took place under the branches of an elegant, aged tree, where L+I were surrounded by fragrant rose petals and wondrous, gleaming candlelight. To highlight the natural, organic beauty of the tree, we added romantic, spilling greenery from the base and the branches. Tucked throughout the lush foliage were creamy spring blossoms of white iris, roses, delphinium, and phlox. The rising sun and warm candlelight cast a golden glow on the ceremony site as the couple said their vows, and had their first kiss.

In collaboration with Kerri at Always Yours Events, our designers dreamt up a design plan that was a bright composition of color and blended seamlessly to create a show-stopping palette of sun-kissed summer blooms. The striking sorbet blossoms popped against the natural coastal landscape, creating a bright and lasting impression from the ceremony throughout the reception.

A culturally rich & colorful celebration

In collaboration with Ashlie of Infinite Events, our team curated a design plan that completely encapsulated the couple and left a lasting impression on guests. July in Jamestown
When you picture a quintessential coastal summer, what do you picture? For us at Stoneblossom we envision a plethora of lush greenery and grasses mixed with textured accents, hues of ocean blues, and bountiful summer blooms. We knew when Brett & Deanna of La Maison Fete asked us to join the team for K+O’s Jamestown Wedding that it would be a celebration of all the greatest elements of a classic New England summer. Incorporating a color palette of gorgeous natural blooms with touches of blue, and draping natural greenery we transformed the private residence into a celebration of coastal components.

Late Spring Soiree at Shepherd's Run
Picture a late spring, secret garden wedding at one of Rhode Island’s beautiful estate vineyards, where May’s most spectacular blossoms married together with whimsical greenery set the perfect stage for a vow of everlasting love. H+P chose to celebrate their marriage in such a space, at Shepherd’s Run, where guests were greeted with an intimate and romantic air from the ceremony throughout the reception. In collaboration with Kate Murtagh and the couple, we curated a color palette of creamy blooms, paired with peachy seasonal varietals, and soft yellow accents to achieve an airy, al fresco environment.

Designs of Grandeur at Rosecliff
In early September of last year, Stoneblossom had the pleasure of teaming up with Infinite Events to bring the timeless, ethereal, and elegant vision of C+J to Newport’s Rosecliff Mansion. The Gilded Age manor and the surrounding grounds overlooking the ocean were the perfect host to the celebration of pastel petals that created the lush and lavish design of the wedding. An ethereal and intentional color palette of pinks and lavenders with hints of cream and white popped against the stark marble of the Rosecliff facade.

Ocean Blue Hues on Block Island
In late July of 2023, Team Stoneblossom packed our trucks and hopped on the ferry to Rhode Island’s infamous Block Island to celebrate the marriage of I+R. We worked closely with the couple and Stasia Anthony of Exquisite Events to curate a quintessential coastal design plan to highlight the gorgeous natural backdrop of the family’s private property. Bountiful blooms of blue delphinium were a main component throughout the design plan, as they were one of the couple’s favorite flowers. The soft summer palette was composed of creamy & light blush blooms that embodied the soft swirling colors of seashells, paired with statement blooms in hues of ocean blues, the floral arrangements were truly reminiscent of a day at the beach.

Fresh June Blooms in Newport
During the beginning of June in 2023, team Stoneblossom traveled to Newport to celebrate the spring-inspired celebration of A+T’s marriage. This wedding had multiple design components that were unique to the couple, and created a memorable and lasting impression for the guests. The celebration took place at the historic Ochre Court situated along the famous Cliff Walk, which is a staple of the Salve Regina campus. The Chateau-esque manor and surrounding grounds were the perfect host to the sailcloth tent where the reception took place.

Vivid Hues & Vibrant Moments
In mid-May, Stoneblossom had the pleasure of collaborating with Ashlie and the Infinite Events team at one of our favorite venues, The Chanler, to bring the vision of K+S’s colorful celebration to life. From conceptualization to execution, watching the design plan evolve into the final finished product was a dream. Our excitement began as soon as we laid eyes on Ashlie’s fabulously curated design plan. When we first met with K+S it was clear that bright & bold blooms fit the bill to match their warm and vibrant personalities.
